What color marble should I use as fireplace surround?
I have a white wood fireplace and am trying to decide whether to get a black veined or white carrera marble surround. Hardwood floors and two brown leather couchs. Not sure what color the walls will be….any suggestions for a living room paint as well would be great!

id go for black marble and calico walls or very soft coffee

Can you post a picture of the fireplace/room and samples of the marble you are looking at?
With a white fire place surround you need to have something stand out to accent both the marble and the wood. White carrera is a bit more mundane and "average" looking . The white w/ back veining will stand out and accent things more but yet easy to work around w/ you furniture etc.Wall colors should be a cream or off white( my opinion sry lol) to make the fireplace stand out more. My favorite is a black marble or pure black granite to really make it stand out. GL
