What are the dangers of gas and fire in a house?
Somebody I know started a fireplace with gasoline, and I noticed they poured quite a bit on the logs to start it, and they left the gas container(1 gal.) right in front of the fireplace while the lid to it was off and started the fire and it went up in huge flames and even touched the gas container a little bit, what were the chances of the container exploding? What should I do now? It was about 7:00AM this morning that this happened.

One of the most important dangers that come from within your house is a fire in your home. It is extremely important to protect your house from possible fires. The main reason why this is so important is the fact that fires present a danger to your life.
There are many different reasons why a fire can start in your home. For example, if you are a smoker, falling asleep with a light up cigarette could cause a fire. This is why every home security source will recommend you not to smoke inside your house.
Also, a fire could be caused when someone forgets to turn of a grill or an oven. If you are ironing your clothes, you should make sure that you turn of an iron after you are done. Forgetting to do this could also cause a fire. The cause can even be purely electrical – something like an electrical shortage. Any equipment that uses gas also can be a source of fire danger. These are just a few examples of what can be an origin of a fire inside a house. You should make sure that you protect your house from possible fires by making sure that you eliminate any possibility of starting a fire. Be very careful and don’t forget to turn off various gas or electrical equipment.
