testing for carbon dioxide gas???11 pointsss!?
ok so one method to figure out if a CO2 gas is produced is to insert a flaming splint and observe wheter it burns. another methd is discussed attached.. what is that method? how would you know co2 gas was present by this method??
help please

Use lime water. It forms a white precipitate. People commonly say it is a milky, white precipitate.

Bubble the gas through lime water (Ca(OH)2.
The lime water will turn ‘milky’ as Calcium carbonate is produced.
