I recently found this wood burning stove at a yard sale. It is pretty rusty and I wanted to see a picture of it when it was new so I can restore it. It has this amazing molded picture on the sides of a man and woman dancing in the mountain woods. You can even see their cabin in the background. Has anyone seen a stove like this? It has an information plate rivited on the back that says the company is Dee Dai Co. LTD out of Taiwan. But their website doesn’t have any way to search through their old stuff. Any advice?

I am looking for a very specific wood burning stove. It has double doors in the front. The doors each have a large (fist size) screw air adjuster. There is a shelf in the front for catching cinders or logs if they roll out. It has a flat top. It has a blower on the back. It has a separate screen that hangs in the back on a peg when not in use. when in use, it hangs on a peg in the front and has a slit in the middle so you can slide the screens open with little dangle-bobs. The front of the stove as far as I can remember has a Big Bear on the front right side, walking on all four paws. In front if the Big bear is, I believe, Three Baby Bears, also walking on all four paws. They are walking to the left as you are facing the stove. I would like to know who made this stove, where I can get one exactly like it, what the model is, the name if it has one, anything you can tell me would be helpful. Thanks, Ivaan

**Mikka

I haven’t been able to find research that says which is the better one for the money. I’m interested to hear back from owners, experts, or people who have done extensive research for wood burning stoves that are affordable and the best ~0 or less can buy. Maybe I’m not considering a brand/model you can recommend?

Have a wood burning stove. If I site it too far forward it may look less attractive than if recessed back into the fireplace – but I am concerned that if recess it too far back it might lose efficiency

I want to know if I can put a layer of tile backer board on top of my wood floor, slate tile on top of the backer board, and my wood burning stove on top of the tile or does the tile need to be elevated above the floor? The stove is a Drolet HT-2000 The owners manual is unclear on this it states "Your wood stove should be placed on a non-combustible surface. The floor protector should
be under the stove, eighteen inches beyond the front and eight inches beyond each side of
the fuel loading and ash removal opening."

my husband installed a wood burning stove in our home.
it’s been working great these past few weeks up until today.
it would seem as though something is stuck in the pipes, but he’s looked down them and saw nothing there. the flames start, but all it does is smoke through the vents, and the smoke doesn’t go up the pipe like it should. HELP!! My home is filled with smoke!
