Just looking for a cute umbrella for the rainy daysssss. Something that’s unique and funky.

Umbrellas are subject to many forces on a windy day. If you hold your hand just beyond the edge of the umbrella while it is still tipped into the wind, you will feel that the airspeed there is even higher than that of the wind. Could anyone explain this for me?

when it rains and there is wind, the umbrella does not cover you at all. Hats don’t cover sunlight if the sun is not directly above you. So i see people with hats and a strong sun light shining on their faces, their hats don’t even serve the purpose.

just wondering would the metal in an umbrella conduct electricity so why arent they mad out of rubber since electricity wont effect it

I live in South Florida and this issue has been bugging me since I moved here about eight years ago. It makes no sense to me that umbrellas are prohibited at Marlins games but allowed at other stadiums. I know for a fact that both New York teams (Mets, Yanks) allow them. The only reason I ever get as to why they’re prohibited at the Marlins stadium is because they can be used as weapons. Well there are a bunch of other things that can be used as weapons. I can throw my shoe, use my cigarette lighter, throw my beer, use a pen or pencil to stab someone, etc. I wouldn’t do any of those things, I’m just trying to make a point. Everyone knows that it can rain at any given moment in Florida. I hate getting wet from rain and not being allowed to bring an umbrella is one reason why I rarely go to Marlins games. I’m sure the umbrella ban is one reason why they have the worst attendance every year. I wouldn’t have a problem if this was a league-wide rule, but as I said, other teams allow it.

So does anyone have an explanation for this besides the weapon thing?

I have sensitive skin, and parasols can be hard to find so would an umbrella work just the same? Or would it get really hot? If not, know anywhere I can find parasols in Manitoba, Canada? I’m looking for a hand-held one and I want it to be able to prevent me from tanning.

I’m making the theme of my bedroom in oriental style. I picked up 2 really neat oriental umbrellas that look just like the ones you put in your mixed drinks (these that I have are way bigger though). I thought about cutting the stem down on one and attatching it to the light on the ceiling so the light shines through it. But I’m wondering if anyone here has any other ideas for the additional umbrella that is left over? any thoughts would be much appreciated…thanks!

I’v recently have started to play resident evil games once again. I keep thinking to myself this one question. Alright first of you know that umbrella sells pharmesudical(I spelled that wrong i know) drugs like a tynenol or advil does. They already control a billion-dollar industry. My question is why are they creating viruses and B.O.W’s? And why do they have a factory the mass-produces tyrants. what is the purpose?
