is there such a thing as a combination wood/ other type of burning stove to heat your house ?

i want to buy a new heating system to heat my house, i have gas now but its to expensive, so i think i will go with pellets, but some times i have cord wood i can burn and old pieces of 2×4 and stuff from my construction work, i wish there was a heating stove i could buy that could burn cord wood and pellets, or some thing similar, i hate to just through away the cord wood and old lumber scraps when i could use it for fuel, what should i do ? maybe install a wood stove in the back part of the house its a big house, but it still takes up room and i am on a budget

I want some kind of heating that I can rely on, not to draining on my electric bill. I also have elec. baseboard heat and it’s so high in the winter… HELP.. If I can put something where the pellet stove sits that is easier on the monthly winter bill I will be tickled

What is the best way to store hardwood pellets?

We are purchasing a pellet stove and because of high demand I would like to purchase two ton of pellets while they are available. We have a big basement, but it is humid down there and the floor gets wet when it rains. The first ton we have down there and one bag opened and the pellets are already soft after just a few days, so my husband is reluctant to buy another ton right now. If the bags are unopened will they stay hard? We also have cats, and possibly mice that we are worried about getting in the bags. We have a sunroom and a loft over the garage, but my husband is concerned that the floors can’t stand the weight, plus the sunroom is kind of musty too. I see that people actually store these outside, so my basement can’t be all bad can it?
We do have them up off the ground to avoid that wetness.

Hy. I want to know what is the cheapest heating systems in different countries?

I want to know what heating system is cheapest in different countries. For example in my country the cheapest is wood or pellets but they have few inconveniences as transport, heavy work for preparing, not very long autonomy, etc.The best price for heating and very comfortable is natural gas, but is a little bit more expensive then wood, and the most expensive are electricity and LPG. I want to know if in your countries are the same or there are differences.

Wood Pellet Fuel manufacturer Dejno Inc.?

Does anyone know anything about the premium hardwood pellets produced by Dejno? I am unable to find much info on the web about them other than the fact that they make pellets. Their website doesn’t even mention pellets for fuel, only for animal bedding. A local distributor is going to be carrying them and I was hoping to see if anyone has used them before and if they are a good quality pellet.

Thanks for your time.
He doesn’t have any in stock and the pre-order is coming to an end. I need to order them before he will have them in the store. I was just curious if anyone has used them before.

How can I shield my camera from airsoft pellets?

I have a digital camera that takes decent videos (it’s not a camcorder) pretty soon I will be having a big airsoft war in the woods. I wanna tape the war but not have my camera be broken by the incoming pellets. Also I need the lenses to be not blocked by the shield

I have an old sectional wooden bookcase; I find small heaps of round buff-colored pellets on the shelves…?

…usually at the back of the shelf inside. I haven’t seen any degradation or obvious problems with the wood. I have seen no termites and have the house foundations sprayed yearly. What are these pellets, and how do I keep them from building up on the shelves? They look kind of like seeds or round sawdust, but there is no other sign that it is coming from the wood itself, no fissures or worn spots I can find–just these heaps. Thanks!
Gem Gem: I hope you’re joking!
Blunt I-run: We do have mice, but these do not have the look of dropping, but more like tiny, perfectly round seeds. I used to keep rats as pets, and I’m familiar with their droppings and leavings. It looks more like someone poured out a bag of tiny seeds than anything else.

best heat source for home?

we are looking for comparisons in all the heating sources. Do you have web sites doing comparisons between heating oil, pellets, natural gas etc. We want to change our heating source from oil to the pellet stove but my dad wants information first. is the pellet stove the most efficient way to go?

Anybody know much about or own the Breckwell sp6000 multi fuel (corn and pellets) stove?

I recently just purchased a Breckwell sp6000 multi fuel stove and I was wondering if anybody has any general information about this stove or if anybody else owns one? How much corn or pellets should this thing be burning. I’ve been running it for two weeks now and I’ve never had it set above the third heat setting and it just seems to be burning a LOT of fuel. For instance in two weeks I’ve went through 30 (40 pound) bags of pellets and 4 (50 pound) bags of corn. Does this seem normal or is this too much and if so what would be causing this? Any kind of feedback would be great.
