i’ve had my bearded dragon for about 6 months now and wen i bot her she was about five inches including the tail and now she’s about 10 inches including the tail.but i thot she was suppose to grow faster. she eats crickets and meal worms. she also sometimes eats juvinile bearded dragon pellets. she has a 40 gallon tank w/ two wood things that she can climb on and she has a water dish. the bottom of her tank is sand. I’d say she’s about a year old.

so plz tell me if shes sappose to like, grow faster.
30-80 crickets a day?????

Alright, so everyone seems to have different opinions. I just bought two baby male rats 3 days ago, and I was following the ‘experts’ advice by using Cedar wood chips. I then was told that I shouldn’t use wood at all, and to switch to CareFresh (recycled paper pellets), so this is what I did. And now I’m being told that CareFresh is too dusty and that I should use something different. Anyone have any suggestions/experience with different types of bedding/litter?

Also, one of my little guys is sneezing a lot, could this be from the Cedar or is he sneezing coz it’s a new environment?

My Oscar is a Wild Black Tiger Oscar.

I bought this a week ago and its about 3 inches and lives in a 30 gallon tank.

1)How long can it survive in a 30 gallon tank so that i can upgrade my tank if it outgrows it?

2)If kept in a 30 gallon tank throught it’s life will it outgrow the tank or it will become stunted to fit the tank?If it becomes stunted, is it true that it’s internal organs grow and the fish dies?

3)My Oscar only likes to eat live foods like Bloodworm, Feeder fish, Ants and other insects. It don’t want to eat pellets or dry worms. I use Flower-horn cichlid pellets and Freeze dried tubifex worms but it wont eat. I made to starve it for 5 days and gave these pellets and dry worms but dint work. How to make it eat pellets?

4)Can Oscar be fed with Carpenter ants or wood ants?

5) And what about Crickets, Small Cockroaches, Mosquito, Mosquito larvae, Housefly and Spiders?

I bought a ten gallon tank today and I’m going back tommorrow to but the accessories and other fish.
All I have right now is a beautiful male betta fish in a 1 gallon tank and I don’t think he is happy with it so I am going to put him in his new home tommorrow

I’m going to get these "accessories" tommorrow:

3 long leafy plants (silk)
1 red leafy plant (silk)
red anemone (silk)
ocean reef background
colored gravel (seamist green, neon blue, and vibrant yellow)
Some drift wood
Large Rock
Air Stone
Filter/Themometer/Heater/Conditioner/Pellets and Brine Shrimp/ect.

Is that fun enough for the fish or is there any other cool ideas?

I’m also planning to add:

1 Chinese Algae Eater
1 African Dwarf Frog
1 Apple Snail
1 fire/ghost shrimp
5-6 neon tetras or 1-2 corydoras

Is that too much or what else is good with a betta?

Ya i’m putting the three big plants in the left corner and the medium red plant somewhere close to the center and the big rock and drift wood (for frog mostly) on the right side and and some cool hiding places for the tetras like a castle or something.. sound good and thanks for all your suggestion and i reported the advertiser

A male guinea pig I just got three days ago I suspect may have a possible URI.
I’m not sure exactly how old he is but he’s only 8.5 inches, so I’m guessing he’s still young.
His only symptoms for my suspicion is that his nose seems clogged and he sneezes commonly. But his breathing is fine and is not raspy or shallow.
His mouth and nose are all free from discharge and he sniffs a lot but his nose seems clogged. His eyes are bright, and clear and are also free from discharge; his ears are clear, and discharge-free; his coat is smooth and glossy with no hairless patches or "shy areas;" And his poo/pee areas are clean, discharge free and function fine (no diarrhea/constipation, normal pee.)
Plus, he’s active and will popcorn around his cage daily, and he eats and drinks like a total Pig
Does the sneezing and clogged nose sound like a URI? A chill? Could he be allergic to his Timothy Hay? Pellets? ..etc?
And I don’t use wood shavings, I use fleece.

P.S. My mom agreed to take him to the vet if his symptoms get worse.

I just baught a plec and a medium sized bit of drift wood.
I was just wondering if there is a special type of food to feed it and if a common plec would grow more than 6" in a year!!(i have pellets for my cory will that do?)
Its a common pleco and it is only about 2"

My whole house is radiant heat by propane gas. During the winters here in Maine we can burn through a lot and it gets expensive. I like fireplaces but do not want the mess of a wood fireplace so I was looking the route of a pellet fireplace. Can anyone tell me if they are economical and possibly how much pellets were used during winter months?

My Bunny is litter box trained and I try to clean the cage and box EVERY DAY scrubbing it with soap and water. The type of litter I use is Pine wood chips…and still I have the strong stail odor of rabbit urine. I’m going to try scrubbing the cage with Lysol next to see if it helps but I still wanna know….What is causing her urine to smell this strong and how can I get rid of it??? Could it be something in her diet??(i feed her grain pellets, alafa hay, and a seed mix) I had a rabbit before this one (a male) and it didnt even come close to smelling like this…
