Anybody know much about or own the Breckwell sp6000 multi fuel (corn and pellets) stove?

I recently just purchased a Breckwell sp6000 multi fuel stove and I was wondering if anybody has any general information about this stove or if anybody else owns one? How much corn or pellets should this thing be burning. I’ve been running it for two weeks now and I’ve never had it set above the third heat setting and it just seems to be burning a LOT of fuel. For instance in two weeks I’ve went through 30 (40 pound) bags of pellets and 4 (50 pound) bags of corn. Does this seem normal or is this too much and if so what would be causing this? Any kind of feedback would be great.

How do I prevent the accumulation of soot on the window of my corn burner?

I am currently burning a mixture of wood pellets and corn. I have an American Heritage stove made by U.S. Stove. I installed a fresh air intake and a 3" x 4′ vertical exhaust.

What do you feel is the most energy efficient way to heat your home these days?

May be building a home soon. Live in the northern part of the U.S. What is the most energy efficient system to heat your home these days that is not outrageously expensive? Considering corn~wood pellet stove, gas forced air furnace. But would like to investigate more ideas. What ideas would you suggest?

Down Draft Wood burning, outside water heaters for heating my home?

I am thinking about getting a outside wood burning water heater to heat my home. I came across a company that has a down draft burning system heater and they say it is the best this, best that, most efficiant ………. There must be some not so good points about this type, what are the pros’s and cons? Where can I find more information on this type and other out side water heating burners (corn, wood pellets) other than the manufacturer or sales person? What is the best one to get, can a person build there own, whre can one get plans to make a efficiant one…….?

What are some good alternative residential heating options? We currently heat with a large wood stove.?

We live in the central U.S. where corn is abundant, but dont want to be stuck with a stove that ONLY burns corn or wood pellets. We have found one place that makes a stove that burns ANY biomass: corn, pellets, wood, nut hulls, etc. This is the kind of thing we are looking for but would like more options. Solar is not an option.
Our house was built (its old) without duct work and we dont have the money to put it in now. My husband has no faith in solar so that is out (personally, I would love to use it to run some our electrical stuff). Our house is about 2,700 sqft with 2 stories.

I need settings for corn/pellet mix for my englander stove?

I have a 10CVD englander corn/pellet stove. have been using pellets , but with the price so high switched to a mix. At first I had great results but now the fire goes out!! It worked great when I had it on the pellet settings(lower button) but had it set on corn.(c) swiched it to setting for corn and that’s when the trouble started. I’ve called the tech support several times and have gotten different answers (conflicting answers!) every time. the fire burns anywhere from 15 minutes to 8 hours before just snuffing out! what’s going on!? I’ve got my stir stick in and now my bottom settings are 2-4-1 >after trying three different combination of settings from the techs!!!! we would like to burn just corn eventually. since we are almost out of pellets.
IF ANYONE OUT THERE CAN HELP ME! PLEASE !! I might just freeze here soon , since this is my only heat source! (went and bought a space heater the other night.)
thanks

Does Anyone own…..?

Does anyone use a corn or pellet stoves to heat their home?

Why is the U.S. Govt. so against growing hemp for commercial purposes?

With no T.H.C. in it,using hemp as in w.w.II days for rope. But utilizing it for particle board (10 times stronger than oak.) Ethanol produces more than corn does.Pellets for pellet stoves, could save on the deforestation of the land from firewood.Clothing, hemp oil, etc. It’s insane that we could produce this for all of these financial and ecological reasons but don’t!Why are they so against it?You can’t get high off it,it has no t.h.c. it could be a huge farm crop.
