Is there any real cost savings for using a pellet stove for supplemental heating?
I found a broucher and it said it used up to 40 pounds of pellets per day and a 40# bag was priced at about .50.

The ton of pellets is equivalent to 120 gallons of oil.
It gives you a central source of heat which you can hang around, stay warm and let the rest of the house go cold and save money. You don’t need a chimney to set one up but should have a backup Power Supply if you don’t have a chimney. My pellet stove directions suggest a three foot rise of cheap Bvent chimney for a minimal chimney. if your Power goes out when the pellet stove is burning you may end up with a roomfull of smoke if it is not connected to the chimney or backed up by a Power Supply to keep the power vent running
$3.50 for a 40.00 lb. bag is a great deal! Check on the current price of pellets and make sure you have a location to put the store
My pellet stove has glass on front thru which you can view the fire. It’s great!
