If you were looking at a house to purchase would you prefer a wood or gas fireplace.?
Going to sell a house that has a wood fireplace and I am debating on converting it to gas for practicality reasons. Should I leave it wood or switch? Yes with the price of gas wood might be better but what do you think?

I converted mine from wood burning to gas.
I save on lost heat that wood fireplaces suffer from.
There is no more loss of heat!
My insurance also went down because of the switch.
Over all, it saves money to have gas.
Less messy too.

I would not go to the trouble just to sell the house. It will sell just as easily with the wood-burning fireplace.

They both have their pros and cons.
I personally have had both and prefer gas becuase it provides the ambiance and warmth and just shuts on and off with a switch….
However there is nothing like the sound of the crackling wood and the smell of burning wood.
It really is a matter of preference.

It’s like adding a pool to your home, is the tiny added value in the apprasial really worth your time?
those that tumbs down me are idiots and wouldn’t know the difference anyways
