How do you get melted polyester off of glass?? URGENT!!?
Ok so my parents were in Cleveland for the weekend, so I had free roam of the house.
Well this mornging, I had had our brand spanking new fireplace insert on for a couple hours and I was looking for something in one of the piles of x-mas stuff by the fireplace, so I sat down in front of the fireplace for maybe a minute tops. And now there is a huge hole in my bathrobe and a ton of gross, black, melted stuff on the glass!!
So far I’ve tried Goo Gone, Windex, Nail polish remover, and water to no avial!! Does anyone have a suggestion to what I can do?? My parents will be home in around an hour so I’m desperate! Please help me!

heat the melted stuff, scrape it off. glass melts at a higher temp than polyester, so it won’t hurt it.

use a single edge razor blade or lighter fluid

Use a sharp knife & scrape it off.
Do be carefull though.
Cutting yourself won’t help anything.
