How do I lower the gas pressure on my gas stove – the burners light fiercely and flame on high seems to much?
It is a brand new stove I just got – I have LP gas – and have had gas stoves before and the way this lights very fiercely and burns high – it seems wrong – is there some sort of regulator or adjustment I can make in the back of the stove or on the burner to fix this? Thanks!

Remove stovetop to get access to pilot lights (should just lift off). There should be a small screw at the pilot light base that you can turn to adjust flame height (at least on older gas stoves). Since it is brand new, have you contacted the manufacturer, or where you bought the stove from? Do you have other propane appliances without a flare? If not, then it is not a pressure problem from the line. Good Luck

are you sure the gas jets(orifices) are sized for LP or NG ?? They are different. They may have been included with the stove as spares, if not you will have to buy them.

Talk to the gas company, or the company you got the stove from, sounds like it’s set up for natural gas instead of propane, you will get it acting like that on propane the orfices are too big, and there are some things to change for the pressure also
