Does anyone know the average cost to rebuild a fireplace?
The house is 158 years old built like a tank but some things were negelected (fireplace) they even went so far as once having a hole (poor patch job now) for a flue from a stove going through the overmantle (idiots). So if you are going to use a scale for pricing, lean on the higher end.

when we were looking into having ours rebuilt, it was estimated at $10,000-$15,000 dollars. our inside dimensions were approx. 30" wide x 24" tall. (we never had it done, and have since moved, so I couldn’t tell you a final price-sorry)
