advice on floor vents or ceilng vents?
I am house hunting and have found a home I really like the heating and cooling vents are in the ceiling. I have read good and bad about this I realize heat rises but if i use ceiling fans to circulate the hot or cold air coming out will that circulate enough to keep the house warm without making the electric bill sky high. The home has wood and carpet if that matters. Is on block foundation no fireplace.Any advice would be very helpful thanks.

Sure, it will make a little bit of a difference, but not huge. You shouldn’t let it be the deciding factor on a house you purchase unless there is something actually defective with the system.

most electricity providers will do a energy evaluation for free or a minimum cost. also ask the owners to see what their bills have been for the past year its not an unreasonable request and something i’ve always done. .that’s the only way to know exactly what your getting in to.good luck with you house hunting
